FB: Clothes

Some people like clothes (more than people) and some people like people (more than clothes).

The first ones notice clothes first and then, maybe you and the second ones notice first you and then maybe clothes.

And now the question? What do you see on this picture? Trousers with a big hole or my knee? :)

I see my knee ;) and then I see 10 years old trousers, which had for a week long a small hole but today, the hole exploded :( :) Maybe I will be able to prolong the life span of those trousers for a year or two by sewing them - you know, ecology, environment protection?

To do a little something, which majority of my acquaintances is not prepared to do? We can't, they say... What will people, who don't care for the nature nor for us say!

I had the same problem. My life was empty and me too. And by wearing nice clothes I thought, I could hide that... but I wasn't.

Some people say: well, you have to fill your life, yourself... with what? With another set of clothes or with your own emptiness?

It doesn't work that way, it doesn't work. What one needs is the real thing...

Love... when one is with beloved person, one doesn't see clothes... but the real thing is to have such kind of love, which is able to bless even those, who destroy one's clothes and even body...

The nicest description of love I had ever heard...

Whenever I heard it, I wanted it but man, I did't know how to get it at that time...

Love here is called charity, karitas, which is not charity as we understand it but a way more... Verse 3 namely speaks about charity as we know it... so therefore here charity, karitas is something way more, the real love... the real thing :) and there is the way, which leads toward it and there are many ways, which lead one astray...

I know, that people cannot understand everything, what is being said here - I also couldn't for long, long years... but at least if one will get a grasp on it... it will be great.

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
