Psalm 52

Beautiful, beautiful Psalm... It speaks about our lying tongues and how they will be destroyed one day.
No wonder that people don't want to sing Psalms and even if they do sing them - they take out such things and put in whatever suits them.

verse 1: " ...the goodness of God endureth continually."
That is true - goodness of God endureth continually and his kindness too and grace and mercy... The question is: It this true for everyone? You hate God in this life, maybe you will like him in another one? Does he give us another chance and another one and another for ever? Is this a hint to reincarnation? No. One day his mercy and kindness stop. His goodness and kindness and grace and mercy to wicked person stop and will stop - but his goodness and kindness and grace and mercy for those, who have repented and have died for this world and were born from above, mercy to those endureth continually.

verse 6,7: "The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him: Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness."
Well, it is so stupid, that it would be funny, if it would not be so sad. Can you imagine what kind of fools we were or are? We trust in our riches and are trying to become powerful through small or great lies and wickedness... Will these save us, when our bodies will stop working? Never! To think such a thing is stupid - come on - you cannot be so stupid or can you be? Well, I was...

verse 8: "But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever."

Olive tree?
Zechariah 4:11-14:
"Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth."

And in Revelation 11:3-4 we read:
"And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth."

verse 9: "I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints."
He has done it - not I, not you, not we... He saved us and he destroyed our lying tongue and he will destroyed lying tongues of everyone...

Where is good? In the nightclubs? Under the clear sky, celebrating new age festivals with singing and dancing? On un-holidays?? No, it is good to be with Christians.

God bless :)
