Psalm 98

Another great Psalm :) As they all are :)
Only brief comments - well brief for me, because one could say a lot more about it:

verse 1 "O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory."
This reminds me of Miriam in Exodus 15:21: "And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea."

verse 2: "The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen."
The LORD doesn't hide his salvation. He saved Israel out of Egypt, He saved Israel out of Babylon and many other times... And the Lord's name is Jesus - why? In Matthew 1:21 we read:
"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." And that was glorious! Who doesn't know about his salvation! (Well, there are still some people, who doesn't, but majority of the world had heard about him.) There are many liars and deceivers, who claim, that they are born again, but their sinful nature didn't die nor was seriously hurt... But that doesn't mean, that he doesn't save people from sins... He does! This is the only thing, which saves one from sins :) Praised be the Lord.
And we still wait for the final salvation of his, when he will destroy all the evil and together with the evil also people, who love lies, murderers, evil, death more than the truth, love, life.

verse 3: "He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God."
Well, it is true, that Jews have returned back to Israel after almost 2000 years... 2000 years and they are still a nation... You just don't see such a thing... The Lord remembered his mercy toward the house of Israel... But the greatest mercy of his is just around the corner... (well, he is the chief corner stone:) ) They have still not turned toward Christ... They still have faith in their own strength, in "Egypt", USA... but they will be left alone... I am pretty much sure about that - as far as I can see that from the Bible. All the world hates them... It is true, they don't do good things - they even despise the Lord (most of them) - but they are not guilty for everything, which is bad in this world, as many people would like to believe. And when they will be confronted with the final annihilation, he will save them... Blessed be the Lord. It is so joyful moment, when whosoever turns toward the real Christ... and when some Jew or Jewess turns to him... that is so great :)
And what did Jesus say?
Matthew 24:14: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
Paul says in his letter to Romans 16:25-26:
"Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:"
And in Revelation 14, we read, how the gospel will be preached unto them, that dwell on the earth...
"And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

verse 6: " With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King."
I just love the Bible :) Paul is speaking about the last trump in 1Co 15.52:
"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
And of course to John it was given a more precised description of the future events - many of them have something to do with trumpets... (Rev 8, 9)
and the sound of the last trumpet is mentioned in Rev 10:7
"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."
In Exodus 19, 20 we read, how the Lord came to the Earth and people heard trumpets...
Interesting thing to notice is, what kind of feasts did the Lord ordered Israel to observe. They all point in a prophetic way toward the future, future events, of which majority of them already happened... only one or two haven't yet. Let's read about one of them, where trumpets are mentioned:
Leviticus 25:9-10: "Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family."
The Bible speaks the same thing again and again and who does see those things?!! Not many... Otherwise, the whole world would repent and worship the Lord in truth and in the spirit.

verse 9: "Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity."
Well, the New testament speaks the same thing... He will come to judge the earth... The second coming of Christ...

And at the end I have repeated the first verse - that is my wish: sing unto the LORD, repent from your evil ways, turn to him and he will save you... There is still time... Do you want to be in a camp, which will gain one battle, but lose the final one, lose the war? Because the victory is his...
