Psalm 59

Psalm 59 raises many questions:
1) Shouldn't Christians be all forgiving and so on?
2) And if so - how could a Christian sing Psalm 59, which says: "Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be"?
3) Isn't there a contradiction?

Well, many so called Christians, who are not (yet) would give the following answers - by the way - I completely disagree with the answers 2 and 3.
1) Yes.
2) We (so called Christians) don't sing such songs.
3) Yes, there is a contradiction in the word of God, but not only there - there are many contradictions in the word of God.

Mine answers (short)
1) Yes.
2) Easily and with joy :) Bible says in more than one place, that we should sing Psalms unto the Lord (1Ch 16:9, Ps 105:2). Yes, we, Christians:
Col 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
Eph 5:19 "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"
Since many hate Paul - what does James say? Sing Psalms :) Jas 5:13

Nowhere it is said, that Christians should sing Psalms but not this and that one... No - Christians should sing all Psalms... because:
2Ti 3:16 "ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
Solomon wrote something similar - but only regarding his proverbs (Pro 1).

3) There is no contradiction. And I am not just saying that. I also thought, that there are contradictions in the Bible, and I was hearing people saying that all the time - but whatever I or others thought it is contradiction, it wasn't. God cannot contradict himself, he is not a liar (2Tim 2:13 ... he cannot deny himself). Every time someone claims, that there is a contradiction in the Bible and that the Bible is wrong - I can be sure, that he is wrong, that he doesn't understand what the Bible is telling him and that the Bible is perfectly right. I have always got or found answers to each and every so called contradiction and those answers had enriched me always... If you speak English, it is not difficult to find an answer to your questions, you have about certain topic.

And mine longer answers:
1) Yes.
2, 3) Psalms speak about Jews, about David, about Jesus (Jesus said so) and about the future too. Knowing that I can see Jesus in Psalm 59: how was he persecuted at his first coming and how will he reveal himself as God and King (after Antichrist will reveal himself as god and king) - Book Revelation, Apocalypse of Jesus Christ, given to John, tells us about those things but not only Revelation, one and the same story is told over and over again throughout the whole Bible - even in Psalms - everything in the Bible is in a complete agreement with everything else in the Bible :)

And I can sing this Psalm and cry, when I think about so many persecuted Christians (and others too) in the world, who lived in the past and who live now and who will live. And I can sing this Psalm for myself, asking the Lord, to protect me... Sheep doesn't trust in its own power, but it trusts in the Shepard... as it is said in verse 17: "for God is my defence". Sheep is meek and it is not proud. Other animals are proud and trust in their own strength - beasts, predators (lions even live in a pride:) for example as it is written in verse 12:
"For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak."
Predators have to cheat their prey - that they are not there (they hide themselves) or that they are far, far away, when in reality they are very close... Lying and cheating is life for predators, beasts and they are proud about that... And likewise we, without God, do the same - everyone of us. Maybe you don't want to see your beast-like nature, but it is there - if you or your beast-like nature hasn't died yet, if your old nature was not buried with Christ and you were not born again.

And I can and I do forgive people - because to me it was forgiven so much... ten thousand talents of silver (that's 340 tons of silver) and if someone did something bad to me - that we can compare to 100 pence (350 grams!) - as we read in Mt 18:23-35. Why should I not forgive? :)
But still, there is a pain in me, seeing all evil in the world - even evil in people, who think for themselves, that they are good... I have seen and known evil in me and I know the same evil in every man... it is the same evil... and I can and I do ask the Lord, to make an end to it... Thy kingdom come... Christian is eager about that... We are praying for that... that his kingdom will come in the near future... that there will be no more lies, cheating, proudness, mockery, blasphemy, torturing, murders, sickness, death... that the rule of the evil one will be finished once and for ever.

I often say: God can destroy you either using his word or using his sword - the choice is yours... and what people usually do (I did that too), is, that they try to run away from his word... well, guess, where they are running to... They think, that they can escape his word and that his sword doesn't exist... verse 7 tells reveals us their (our) thoughts:
"...for who, say they, doth hear?" Yes, there is no god, no judgement, there is no sword - they think...
His word is written in the Bible. Christ is the word of God. And in the Revelations, there is an interesting description of him:
"Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword..."

Let me comment only couple of verses:
verse 8: "But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision."
This message is repeated over and over again and again in the Bible and still so called Christians don't believe it.

verse 13: "Consume them in wrath..." the day of LORD's wrath is mentioned over and over again and again in the Bible and still, so called Christians refuse to believe it. They believe themselves rather that the word of God. They follow themselves and not Christ - why then they call themselves Christians?

verse 13: "...let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth"
God's wrath will destroy evil but that is not the only purpose of it. Because of his power, people will know, who is in charge, who is God!
And what about the phrase the ends of the earth - many people mock about that all the time. Does the earth have its ends? Of course it has. What are coasts? Aren't they the ends of the earth? And what is earth? Isn't it sphere? Does sphere end, does it have surface or is it limitless? Sphere is limited, it ends, it has surface. Its surface is its end - it has two ends in every direction... Bible is right - once again.

And dogs are mentioned many times in this Psalms. They go round about the city. And in Revelation we read about the heavenly city and that dogs will stay outside of it... (Rev 22:15). The whole Bible is in a complete agreement with itself over and over again. What kind of intelligence could write it? The greatest of them all :)

We get explanations, who are dogs from this Psalm, but also from Psalm 22:16:
"For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet."
22:20:
"Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog." - darling is the Church, his bride.

Isaiah 56:11 "Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter."

Jesus named us, the heathen, dogs, when he said:
"Mat 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs."
But the woman didn't protest and blessed was she... and Christians don't protest about that... Yes, Lord, I am a dog, but be merciful to me...
But proud ones do protest and they are never ever blessed by him.
Mat 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Mat 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Peter is quoting Proverb (Pro 26:11), when he says:
2Pe 2:22 "But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again;"

Jesus says something similar:
Mat 7:6 "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you."
Compare that to:
Pro 9:7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
and also:
Pro 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

Read the contexts and you will get an idea, who is dog.

Dog is a predator, blood thirsty animal. They licked the blood of Naboth (1Ki 21:19), the blood of Ahab (1Ki 22:38) and they have eaten Jezebel (1Ki 21:23).
Dogs eat humans - and people didn't like them. Dog is God written backward and today people like evil and hate life (evil is live written backward) and they love dogs and hate God and so on.
When you love people, you hate those things, which endanger them. Dogs killed many children. If you love children, you would rather see dogs killed and children being alive but today that is not the case. Dogs in many European cities attacks people, even children, but the celebrities and many cruel people, want to protect them, dogs namely...
Sad, very sad...
And above that, dogs have rabies, very lethal disease, horrible, horrible disease. Now, we have vaccine but... will there be vaccine even in the future? I doubt. If dog or cat or fox infected with rabies bites you, it changes you basically into beast. After days, weeks, or months a person infected with rabies starts usually to fear water...
interesting - beast is fearing water - and the Lords words are compared with waters too...
and such a person becomes aggressive toward other people, such a person is afraid... and at the end, such a person dies in horrible pains. And that is what will happen to "dogs", when they will be judged.

Come to Christ, that he might give you the living water... (Is 58:1, John 4:14) with him there is no fear... (there is fear of God at the beginning, but then less and less fear) Without him - there are many fears and they are becoming bigger and bigger...

Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Rev 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Rev 22: 20 "...Even so, come, Lord Jesus."
Rev 22:21 "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
Compare that to: Thy kingdom come... and
Psalm 59:17 "Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy."
Mercy is grace, isn't it? The same message all over the Bible... and as long as we are proud, God resists us... as long as we don't fear him... there is no wisdom in us and we cannot understand... our minds and hearts stay corrupted and we don't want to come to him, that he might cure us...

but start to listen - faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God... And what happens? Read, listen and you will know: Some people hear the word... Read Mt 13:1-23...

God bless you all...
